LOS ANGELES RIVER BED
September 29th, 2008 by Sean Fenner
The Los Angeles River Bed at Glendale Narrows is located just off of the 5 Freeway exit Glendale Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA. This is an under utilized body of water for Fly Fishing. This stretch of the LA river is dominated by Carp. The average Carp is a couple of pounds but I have seen them caught up into the 10-15 pound range. So if you ever want to hook into a powerful fish and want to stay close to home head down to the LA River. Note that the fishing is the best from the Early Spring through the Early Fall. Please don’t Eat any of the fish. Practice CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY, and don’t litter!!!
