The Popper is another very versatile fly that comes in a large variety of sizes, shapes, colors, and patterns. In my opinion this is one of the deadliest warm water flies available. I have my big weedless Frog Poppers to through into cover, my Dahlberg Divers to entice the big bite, and my Mini Poppers for those aggressive early spring to late summer pan fish. You cant really go wrong with a Popper, and in my opinion you cant fish it wrong either. I have seen people catch fish on the softest slowest retrieves to the hardest fastest retrieve. So if you need a warm water fly, and want to see a big bass clobber a fly at the surface tie on a Popper and have some fun.  Get them well there hot at Orvis.
