What can I say about the Stimulator, the name says it all it stimulates Trout to bite. This is the fly that I 90% of the time start out my Trout Fishing with. It works great as a prospecting pattern when there isn’t any hatch, or it imitates everything in the water  when you have a hatch. I read one time that there are 5 recognition for Trout taking a fly; Color, Iridescence, Movement, Translucency, Transparency, and shape. The Stimulator falls under all of these categories, and it has caught fish for me constantly. I was fishing a stream in the San Gabriels one time and nothing was rising, I didn’t see anything hatching, and I must have tied on 25 different dries and not one hit. As soon as I tied on a Yellow size 16, I could not keep the fish off of it, and at the end of the day I had caught something like 18-20 fish on the one fly. Use this dry the next time your out prospecting and I know you will get more bites. Buy a few at The Trout Spot and get them at a great price.
