FLY OF THE WEEK

By Sean Fenner, February 18, 2010

Springtime brings great action for Sunfish on terrestrials, and my favorite one to catch them on is a Foam Beetle. There is just something about the Beetle Profile that drives the Pre Spawn fish crazy. If I had to pick what fly I thought would catch me a big Panfish a Beetle would be the first imitation to make it our of my fly box. The fish seem to bite them hard, and the profile allows for good hookups. When I need to stock up I go to The Trout Spot, where Richard offers all kinds of Fly Fishing accessories of great quality at an amazing price!

The Trout Spot has been generous enough to give our readers a 10% discount on any purchases made on their site. Just reference the promotion code UFV at checkout”

Foam is great in the summertime. I love to use them around the reeds over at El Dorado Park, catch some big Panfish that way!
