Good list – I consider myself a fairly accomplished urban angler and I move through #1-7 automatically, as soon as I break from the trail, closer to the water.
8,9, and 10 I almost always miss until it’s too late. Tonight I lost a gigantic largemouth in a beaver swamp when I tossed a #8 Joes Flies inline spinner across the water with no attention to what I’d do if a fish crushed it and ran deep. Which is what happened as soon as it hit the water. Lost the lure and the fish
