NEWPORT BACK BAY
Newport’s Back bay is a maze of estuary waters that you could literally spend a lifetime fishing. It offers so many opportunities from Surf and Float tubing to Kayaking and fishing from a boat. it also offers a diverse ecosystem of like Bass, Perch, Mullet, Sharks, Rays, Croaker, and many others. My best source of information on this area has and will always be His & Her Fly Shop owned and operated by Frank Selby. You won’t find a place with for information to give or people more willing to give it. It also helps that their in house “Master Fly Tier” Gracie can tie you up just about any pattern you can think of. Just let them know that Sean Fenner sent you!

Carp Can be caught here all round year. Can be very crowded on the weekends. For Largemouth Bass and Panfish try to fish near the brush cover or along the reeds the should produce a good number of fish.
